Our beginnings

Auspat Land Survey Australia grew out of a survey business established in Hong Kong in 1996 by its Australian owners and directors, Colin McIntosh and Paul Banks. The Hong Kong company undertook major infrastructure survey assignments across Taiwan, the Philippines and Hong Kong, including providing survey excellence on the runways of the Hong Kong International Airport.

Over the next 8 years, Colin and Paul forged a reputation in Hong Kong for providing expert technical know-how combined with an innovative approach and hard work. This secured Auspat Hong Kong major contracts on some of the iconic projects that now form part of the world famous Hong Kong skyline. In 2004, Auspat’s Australian Directors embarked on a similar journey back home in Australia, perceiving the emergence of positive opportunities. One of the first contracts was work on the M7 Westlink Toll Road in Sydney.
