Survey Managers

Meet the management team

Joe Hejazi

Operations Manager

Joe joined Auspat in 2019 after working for 15 years on various construction jobs in Australia and overseas. Since joining, Joe has worked on some of the largest infrastructure projects in Victoria including Westgate Tunnel project, South Gippsland Highway Realignment, Level Crossing Removal projects and the Monash Freeway Upgrade.

Joe is a testament to Auspat’s encouragement to work through the ranks from Data Manager, Survey Manager and now Operations Manager. Joe has over 19 years’ experience in the industry and holds a Bachelors Degree in mine surveying.

You can refer to Joe’s linkedin page for a more detailed profile of the projects he has been involved in.

Clint Patrick

Survey Manager

Clint studied surveying at the University of Melbourne and graduated in 1991. Clint was drawn to surveying as a career as he was able to combine a love of the outdoors with an interesting profession.

Whilst initially the industry as a whole was slow on the uptake of technology in everyday surveying it is now at the forefront with new software, equipment and industry standards and expectations keeping surveying ever evolving moving into the future.

Over the years he has done some cadastral and high-rise construction work in Queensland as well as some seismic surveying work nation-wide for a couple of years in the late nineties.

Working in surveying has given Clint the opportunity to work all over Australia, which he regards as the best part of his job. If you want to work remotely or see some places you have never seen there is always an opportunity to be seized.

Clint joined Auspat in April 2016 and has really enjoyed working on the major infrastructure project, where he has been given the opportunity to progress into a Survey Manager role.

Darren Lewis

Survey Manager

Darren was first introduced to surveying whilst living in London in the early 90’s. This encouraged Darren to study surveying at RMIT Melbourne in the mid 90’s on his return to Australia.

Following his studies, Darren returned to the UK to continue his surveying career working on the London Underground and numerous buildings around London.

Upon Darren’s return to Australia in 2004, he was given the opportunity to commence work with Auspat on the Eastlink project in Melbourne. After completion of this project, Darren moved to Auspat’s Queensland office where he worked on Brisbane’s Gateway Project and Airportlink.

Darren left Auspat in 2011 to pursue other opportunities in Western Queensland in the coal seam gas industry. This enabled Darren to gain experience in different industries and environments.

Darren returned to Auspat in 2017 to work on the Westgate Tunnel Project in Melbourne as the Survey Manager, where he continues his great work and leads a team of qualified surveyors.
